Christmas Tree Festival at The Union Church

This year we contributed a Christmas Tree to the Tree Festival at The Union Church during the last week of November . It was a lovely sight with all the different groups in Heathfield making their own contribution.  We would like to thank Nicole & John Hudson, with help from Denise Staley, for putting it all together for us and then dismantling it at the end of the week.  A group of our Clients went to have tea and cake around the trees on Monday 25th.  It was a lovely start to the Christmas festivities.  The following week we were able to take lots of our Clients to the Carol Concert. This is an annual event supported by the Heathfield & Waldron Rotarians working in conjunction with Vicky, the Vicar, at The Union Church..

The Late Mrs Early Dress Rehearsal

We were very fortunate to be able to go to the dress rehearsal at Rushlake Green on Sunday 17th November.
The Heathfield & Waldron Rotary Club made all the arrangements with the Rushlake Green Players.  The Rotarians involved their wives in providing the tea and cakes for the afternoon.  They were all delicious, as usual.  Age Concern provided free transport for the afternoon.
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it and thought the production was really funny.  It was amazing how they all remembered their lines.

A big thank you to The Rushlake Green Players and The Heathfield & Waldron Rotary Club for supporting it all.

Annual General Meeting 2024

AGM Picture

We held our Annual General Meeting on Friday 8th November in The Welcome Church Main Hall. 32 people attended to hear what had been happening over the last
financial year. Our year runs from July to June, so this year it included the work we undertook to change the old Charity to an Incorporated Charity. This gives us much more financial security.  During that period we also negotiated a new lease at Little Tinkers for The Heathfield Men’s Shed.  Our accounts will all be published on the Charity Commissioners Website for anyone
to view at any time.
