Trip on The Medway in September 2025

The 1st September saw a group of our Clients set off for a trip on the adapted boat from The Medway Wharf Marina at Wateringbury. Although the weather was changeable throughout the day, everyone thoroughly enjoyed the trip and came home with lots of memories, including feeding the ducks and swans during the afternoon.
Our Volunteer Keith, not only drove the Bus that day but also got to steer the boat. He did admit the boat was not as easy as it looked, but he did gain a certificate to prove he had done it! Well done Keith. This boat is adapted to take wheelchairs and people with walking aids, so can only accommodate a small number at any one time. We have another small group going at the end of September and then we plan to do it again in the Spring, as a lot of people have shown an interest.
Rushlake Green – Cream Tea

We enjoyed another Cream Tea on 11th August at Rushlake Green. We were pleased to see a number of local Residents who were able to join us. The volunteers worked hard to get it all set up and others who brought everyone to the Hall that afternoon.
It was a really friendly atmosphere and everyone enjoyed the delicious spread.

We had sandwiches, sausage roll, crisps and a salad dressing to start the feast. This was followed by scones, jam and cream. After copious amounts of tea, we then finished the afternoon with a selection of cakes. Everything was homemade and delicious. A big thank you to everyone who helped make it another successful event.
